" I was driving at the time but it was in my direct view. The higher sky was clear but low lying fog on horizon when the ball & train went out of sight it could have been behind this fog line. No reports seen of any air accidents in that area.

Glowing white train heading down to the horizon disappeared at same point the ball terminated. Sky was getting dusk but not dark. "
