I have had numerous dreams and waking visions of future events that turned out to be accurate.

**Very Interesting !!

I too have had a few dreams about the SF bay area having a major earthquake over the last several years.

**This Has Happened ... Will Happen !! ... Though It Has Not Yet Happened In The "Current Frame" !!

In the end of 2016 i worked on the SF peninsula near Palo Alto and got a very, very sickening feeling every time i commuted to that part of the bay area. It was supernatural in feeling and intense in anxiety.

**It Is Of Sensing/Feeling Of These Energies .... Of This Altering You ... Not To Go There !! ... That Something Is Going On .... "Upheavals/Changes" Which Will Happen There & To That Area !!

I had a number of dreams. One was driving toward San Francisco on the bay bridge when the quake hit. Whole buildings were crumbling down and bridge swayed violently.

**Wow !!!!

Another dream I had my friend relayed information to me. It was dated late March or early April and was an 8.3 magnitude "multi fracture" event with the main quake spurring other quakes along the San Andreas.

What i find eerie is that the epicenter was near San Mateo/Palo alto in my dream, just as you described.

**One Thing That Was Remembered Later ... Was A Thought ... That This Was Triggered By An "Accident" Of A Particle Accelerator ... Of "Dabbling" In Things/Areas Which Ones Should Not Be Into/Exploring !! ... Of This "Accident" Getting Out Of Hand/Out Of Control ... & These Energies Released Out Into The Open/Wild !!

**Of An "Interesting Coincidence" ... There Was A Movie Released To The Public In 2006 Called "The Black Hole" ... That Dealt With An Accident Of A "Particle Accelerator" ... Though The "Fictional Location" Is St. Louis, Missouri !!
