Just took a quick flight over Bowling Green, OH, compliments of Google Earth.

Beautiful little town. Shame to see so much farm land being
gobbled up for housing, ie, new subdivisions with out trees, but I guess that it is happening every where.

**It Is Sad !! ... That They Can't Fill The "Housing" They Have Now !! ... It Is Primarily For Greed !! ... And The Farmers Are Selling Their Land ... To Get The "Top
Buck" ... So They Can Build These "Housing Eyesores" On It !! ... Problem Becomes ... What Land Is Left ... To Grow Food ???

Saw lots of "golfing greens", but couldn't see the "Bowling
Green"

**The Name ... "Bowling Green" ... Was "Supposedly" From "an early postal carrier, Joseph Gordon, who previously lived and worked in Bowling Green, Kentucky" !! ... There Is Another Story Though ... Which Was Found (Though Not Often Told !!) ... Which Relates That It Was Named ... From An Officer/Soldier ... That Fought At The Battle Of Fallen Timbers ... By The Last Name Of "Green" !!

**The Area ... Was/Is ... Part Of The Great Black Swamp ... In Which Pioneers Traveled To Head West ... To Settle !! ... Many Wagons Became Mired/Stuck ... Down In The Swampy-Marshy /Moist Lands !! ... So This Area Was Not
Prime For Settlement Right Away !! ... Still There Were Some Brave Souls ... Who Took Their Chances !!

**Later Ditches Were Dug ... This Helped To Drain Alot Of The Excess Water Away !! ... It Was Discovered That .... The Swamp Land Made Excellent Farming Soil !! ... Other Parts Were Drained ... Filled In ... Covered Over !! ... Later Paved Over !! ... Still Though The Swamp Is Right Beneath One's Feet !!

They have a beautiful stadium just northwest of the freeway
interchange on the east side of town.

**Oh You Are Referring To ... The University's (Bowling Green State University) ... Doyt Perry Stadium !!

Curious about the circular tree covered path with a quadrant in the middle two blocks west, and also one two blocks south beside the freeway.

Looks like these are baseball fields.

**Hmmm !!! ...Well Not Sure ?? ... As The University Is Spread Out In That Area !! ... So It Could Be Part Of This ... Which You Are Referring ... Or Some Other Development !!

**All These Things Though ... Built For Greed ... Will Not Matter ... When A Estimated 5.5 Earthquake ... Shakes This Area .. Destroying Downtown ... Which Is Of Old Clay/Brick Buildings .... Opening Up Huge Cracks/Crevices In The Street !! ... & Expecially ... When The Stratovolcano Rises ... From A Weak Point In The Crust ... Of The Bowling Green Earthquake Fault ... In The Middle Of ... Stone Ridge Golf Course ... On The Southwest Side Of The City !! ... Of Which For At Least 10 Miles Around ... Will Be Burnt Black !!
