I found your description of some of the true causes of Attention deficit disorder very interesting ST.

Like the poster Whee!, I also share this affliction. I have nearly all the symptoms he listed in his post.
Though for myself I'm not sure if this affliction was/is caused by my having Obsessive-Compulsive disorder or possibly even by the Prozac(drug) I took for 9 years in an attempt to stop the OCD.

I used to be an avid reader when I was younger, able to read very quickly and had a vocabulary large for my age. I also loved to read nature books about animals. Now because
of OCD/ADD reading is a huge chore for me and I mostly only read this thread and others on GLP. To read any
more than this is just too draining for me.

Once OCD kicked into full drive when I became a teenager, I lost my ability to be able to read efficiently and absorb the knowledge due to interruptions by intrusive thoughts and my attention being diverted by these thoughts.

**The Problem With "Reading" ... And The Print Type/Style ... Is ... That By It's Very Natures ... It Is Harmful ... To The One Reading !! ... It Is Not Balanced !! ... To Have This Properly Done ... For Balance ... For Health ... For Retention ... The (Of Your Time) Current Premise/Understanding ... Needs To Be Scrapped .... Scrapped In Favor Of Going Back To A ... Much Older Form Of Reading !!

**This Was Of Languages That Used ... The Method Known As ... "As The Ox Plows" !!

**In The Times When Oxen Were Used To Plow Fields ... The Farmer Would Walk Behind The Oxen With The Stand Up Plow ... When One Got To The End Of A Row ... They Would Not Suddenly & Miraculously ... Many Optical Afflictions !!

I remember when a while back I asked about what OCD was and you said it had to do with a need to control.

**Yes !! ... And The Fear Of Being ... Out Of Control ... Losing Control !!

I thought about it and that does make sense.

One example is when I have an intrusive/"bad" thought I often feel I need to repeat the action I was undertaking over and over again until I can do it without the thought entering my mind.

I feel that if I just leave the thought be then this thought may manifest into reality. This is
why I attempt to repeat actions over and over to try and get things to feel okay again and to have my anxiety diminish.

So I thought maybe I am trying to control my reality as possibly I am used to being able to manifest
thoughts when I was not in human form and therefore want to try to stop these thoughts from becoming reality.

**This Is A Possibility !!

Though I would guess that for safety reasons I cannot manifest thoughts while here on earth.

**Well ... Not Until You Have Mastered The Various Lessons First !! ... Which Would Include Discipline & Control !!

Then again, maybe I used to try to control others in a
concurrent life and thus am being taught some sort of lesson?

Then It Makes No Profit !!) ... Natural Cures & Understandings ... Which Cannot Be Patented ... Are Not Profitable !!

Also do you think the OCD could cause ADD as well?

I seem to not be able to read things easily as a sentence anymore, my brain seems to try to pick things apart word for word it seems,
