Talked to ST last night. He was having computer problems and could not get the web pages to load.

**Indeed ... It Was Mighty Strange !! ... Finally It Was Figured Out (With Some Very Helpful Thoughts Of My Ornery Friends !! ... Hee Hee Hee !!) ... When I Discovered In Programs ... A Link To Launching Internet Explorer ... Without Add On's !!

**When I Clicked On This Link ... It Brought Up A Box ... Asking If I Wanted To Restore The Last Session ... Or Go To The Home Page !! ... I Tried Both Options ... & Each Time The Web Pages Came Up Very Very Fast ... No Problems Whatsoever !! ... However ... This Would Not Allow Me "Active X" Downloads ... Such As Using Windows/Microsoft Update !! ... Grrrrr !!!

**Still ... This Narrowed Down The Problem As To What Could Be Causing The Problems !! ... Add On's !! ... Which Includes Add In "Tool Bars" !! ... Then A Thought Came To Me ... I Just Purchased ... (However Did Not Install Yet ... As My Time/Use Is Not Yet Up ... With Edition 4.0 - - ) ... Norton 360 Version 5.0 !! ... And As I Recall There Was Some Previous Problems ... When A New Edition Came Out !! ... The Norton Toolbar Add On ... "Glitched" !! ... Would Not Load Properly ... Hence As This Wanted To Load ... But Didn't ... Hung There ... It Also Jammed Up Internet Explorer ... Freezing It/Tying It Up ... & Then ... When One Got Out Of The Session ... Via Close/End Now ... Or Windows Task Manager ... When I Clicked On Internet Explorer Again ... It Tried To Load The Norton Tool Bar !! ... Same Results ... Freeze Up !!

**So With The Discovery (Via Loading Internet Explorer (Without Add On's) ... & That Remembrance ... I Went To The Norton Site ... As A Current Customer (Using Norton 360 4.0 - -) ... Can Upgrade For Free (To The Remaining Time On Their Subscription) ... To The Latest Edition !! ... I Went Ahead & Did This ... Not Having To Uninstall The Current Edition ... Or Having To "Tweak The Settings" !! ... All Of My Current Settings Were Saved !! ... Yay !!! ... But I Still Went In ... & Checked All The Settings ... Just To Be Sure !! ... There Were Just A Few That Needed To Be Set/Reset !!

**After Downloading/Installing ... Norton 360 Version 5 ... Downloading & Installing Updates ... I Tried Internet Explorer Once Again !! ... This Time The Box Came Up On The Screen ... If I Wanted To Resume The Non Completed Session ...Or ... Go To The Home Page !! ... I Went To The MSN Homepage ... & Everything Worked Fine !!! ... Whew !!! ... Tried GLP ... & Other Sites ... No Problems Whatsoever !!

**The New Product Release/Old Product /Server Switchover Glitch ... Was What Caught Me Again !! ... This May Be ... A "Built In" Bug/Design/Glitching ... To Cause/Encourage One(s) To Upgrade/Update !! ... The Theory Of "Built In Obsolescence" ... That Causes The Software To "Hick Up" ... As It Gets Older !!

**After That Affair ... I Was Too Wound Up To Sleep ... So I Stayed Up & Watched A Couple Episodes Of "Relic Hunter" !! ... It Was Closing More On 5:30 A.M. ... When I Finally Got To Bed & To Sleep !! ... Then I Was Tired !!

I hope I helped him so that he can do so now. We will see.
