Regarding your second paragraph; I would think, if an act is
preformed by a clone, using the image of someone, that someone should be held accountable for the clones actions. After all, isn't the clone performing the functions of the original?

I think the reason for the clones, is for protection from
assignations/attempts of killing the original.
