Quoting: FatalWishes[link to finance.yahoo.com] This euro rise is costing me, damn it! Remember when it was almost at 1.50? I had some Euros I got rid of back then. When the euro was launched I used to bid in Spanish numismatic auctions at the rate of 1 euro for 84 cents. No joke. Those were the good old days... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 946424Naw, your wallet will have to get bigger; a lot bigger - to hold all those worthless bills. In fact, forget about the wallet idea - get a wheelbarrow. Gonna need a dumptruck for a pair of shoes. They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out. |

Quoting: Not an Economist 932651...which is good... ...for DOOM!!!! Doom on. See where the dollar was at 88? [link to stockcharts.com] Now its under 80? Doom on. This means a much weaker dollar in the future and much higher prices for all goods. Could mean the dollar loses its reserve currency status as well. This could put us into a depression if the dollar loses too much of its value. They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out. |

Power is not sitting on ass with credit card, remote control, etc. Power is steel, iron, coal, heavy and light industry, manufacturing, robust domestic demand. I feel certain to be that America could achieve again. |

I feel certain to be that America could achieve again. Not with the communitarian mind set so firmly entrenched in our political caste and educational system. The ridiculous environmental standards make it cost prohibitive for industry here in America, why do you think all our manufacturing has gone to China, that and the wage arbitrage. Their answer is for us all accept being far poorer, and reducing our living standards while continuing to pay off the debt to the banksters. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 961432I thought we were already in a depression. No not yet. We are still in a recession with deflation. Of course they will have you believe it ended June 2009. We are repeating history here ladies and gentlemen. We learned NOTHING from the 30's and the great depression. History will repeat itself. And this time the bubble is MUCH bigger. They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out. |
