I have always "known," but not always "believed."


So I would agree with you...But, we are all born "Knowing."

You're welcome (did I say more than I realize?)!!

And we are all born with a bit of His Holy Spirit in us, so I assume that's what you mean by being born "knowing." That could be why I say I've always believed but didn't really know why. Until the day, just a little over 10 years ago, God Himself gave me my first Bible lesson. I have no human words to describe the experience so won't even attempt to describe it. So now I know Him and believe.

And I'm so, so glad you now believe!

I am a victim of the flesh, and all that this brother in Christ says is spot on in Truth !!

I feel that at one time I was stronger in the Lord when I was first saved, but now feel I have somewhat fallen away, lately things of the flesh like women and money seem to be taking over my soul in a sense that I am always concerned about them and it has taken some of my Concentration away from the Lord.

I still feel the Lord is with me but there are days I struggle to hold on, but I know deep down I can never be removed from the Lords hand by anything and that keeps me holding on because I know evil will not prevail.

John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

As this guy says and is absolutly correct, the more we head into the light the more we Hate the darkness!!

I have seen falling away happen to others, I know all about it and have experienced it first hand myself but still for some reason every once in awhile I step away from the light of Christ to just be in the enticing things of this world.
The devil is crafty and I know like ST. Peter I also can be sifted like wheat by it, and only by the power and workings of God can we be save from it.

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Romans 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

This tells me also that these things will happen but we must strive harded to be Holy do to the cravings of the flesh that are sometimes hard to control.

As far as the Pulpit is concerned I agree with that also - everything has to be PC now adays so not to offened anyone and I have fought with priest about these things myself, but most seam frightened to do the true will of the Lord and preach the true word of God right from the words of Bible at the pulpit - its watered down preaching more and more everyday and that is why the church is struggling to strengten people in the Lord and keep people going to Church to worship Jesus.


It says it all Here:

Hebrews 5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.

Belief is what you think to be true, faith is what you know to be true and in faith, belief is lost, but this is not the end. Because knowing is not Being, and so the third step, fruition, eclipses even faith for you no longer know the truth as something else, you are It.


This is the functional difference between belief and faith. Faith is unshakable by the nature of experience.

Most of what is written about faith in religious books miss the mark because the word itself is not understood. In modern English “faith” means believing in something for which there is no substantial proof. But the Greek word pistis, used in the New Testament, means stability in personal knowledge drawn from one’s own experience. It also means to be loyal to that knowledge by living in accordance with it. Pistis also means to be confident in our experiential knowledge. Faith cannot be “awakened” in a person by reading books, listening to discourses, or engaging in discussions. It comes only from within, from his own self. Saint Paul underlined this when he wrote that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”2 Note that he says substance and evidence. Faith is not an insubstantial idea. This is no matter of mere intellectual acceptance or emotional hope. Faith is proof that a person has experienced the reality of something; it is not a mere conviction based on reason or feeling.

There is non other than God, the satans (adversaries) do His bidding. They are reflections of our own potential manifested so that we may choose them not.

But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person's work has any value.

Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—
