According to Kolpack, Devil's Lake is one of only two significant "closed-basin" lakes in the United States. The other is the Great Salt Lake. The growth of Devil's Lake indicates that precipitation in N. Dakota is increasing, or average temperatures are falling (less evaporation), or both. "Those worries are compounded by another problem," says Kolpack. "Scientists believe the pattern of heavy rain and snow that filled the basin is likely to continue for at least another decade." They can use mobile pumping trucks to reclaim the land ... if they cared about the people who live there.

My pond is fed by three natural springs...if I allow the beavers to stop up the overflow pipes the water will wash over the dam and destroy it...it flows even in times of drought...damn beavers! it's a constant battle... Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things.
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support!
