Talked w/2 local vets and heard on the local news - fleas very bad this yr. (se Va) Also learned products often don't last 4 weeks - even tho they say they do. Your dogs are lucky. Personal responsibility - try it sometime. Quit blaming others for your bad choices. Consequences happen. :enaid11: |

The vets have reported all around my area the fless are beyond belief bad. Worst in decades. I think less stray cats and dogs, less ground hogs, skunks, rabbits, and rodents helped. (my pellet gun with a scope helped) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1113970 United States 09/29/2010 08:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Got plenty fleas here in N. Louisiana, fire ants were'nt as bad as usual this summer. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 736749Yeah what is going on with the fire ants? Im in East Texas, and last year I fought them all summer. They are usually so bad, there is a Fire Ant Festival named after them. I KNOW they are still way down underground just waiting to torment me again, but maybe it's because we haven't had any rain since the first of July. Long drought. As far as fleas go...none. But I do treat my two dogs once a month with Advantix, all year long. They are in and out dogs, and free to roam as they please. Altho the Golden doesn't get out of sight. Advantix also covers ticks and I'm in the country with woods and deer, coyotes and who knows what else, so I switched from Frontline because of that. |
