There have always been different things people picked to do, some groups are still nomads as they liked the freedom of moving around. This is one reason for wars, clashes with these different extremes. They already had weapons from being hunters. Rocks can kill as well as metal, you die from both. I don't think there was a huge gap in the years to start the rise of culture farming and living in houses they built for use for mankind. The trouble with all this is the rise of people who demanded others do their work production and give it to them, other words they were inclined to kill you if you didn't fork over part of your work production and your energy or most of it. This is where we are today, those who force others to give by any means they can your hard work and your energy plus the production from it.
