Indiana government suggests you drop him off at a homeless shelter. Yeah, you heard that right. Having a special needs child can be very hard as they never truly become independent. It takes a very special person to be a good parent to a special needs child. I do admire those that handle the everyday stresses of dealing with autistic children or severely mentally challenged kids. I know of a family where the husband or the wife always have to be at home with their 22 year old autistic son as he gets violent if one of them is not there. They have not had a vacation together for the past 18 years. They are currently trying to get their son to accept one of his siblings or even a caretaker to be there but so far no luck. Their main concern is what will happen when they pass away, how will their son function. But to abandon your child to a homeless shelter or make them a ward of the state is a drastic step and not one that any parent could do easily. What would happen to the disabled person if the caretakers finally just lost their patience and did something horrendous? What would happen to the disabled person if the parents died? Who would care for them? This is just a sad situation no matter how you look at; but, at least there would be some type of resource to protect the disabled person from neglect, abuse or not being able to live independently. What is the correct answer to this dilemma? It was easier in the old days, if we birthed a deformed kid we would simply either leave it on the rock for the predators to eat, or bash its brains out on the rock. Now days we feel so compelled to 'do something humane'... You would think that humane and humanity are related somehow.... That was sarcasm. leaving severely disabled people at homeless shelters is one option families What are the other options? Indiana is hub for Masonic/satanic activity (Indianapolis) Of course they want your kids. 1Ki 19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree, and prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, YAHUWAH, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” |

Pro-life unless its a disabled adult, then its the gutter for them... Quoting: Mercurius 1081195Wow, generalize much? So welcome to libs who want a nanny style gov't to wipe their asses and provide the toilet paper for you. The TeaParty wants minimalist gov't; gov't isn't always the answer. Yes, those that can't help themselves should get help but the question is where is the line drawn for those that can't help themselves? Look at the current system that is being abused by those who know how to milk the system that aren't truly disabled. You want to get mad at someone get mad at the ones who are faking it, they are robbing from those that do need help. No one has all the answers, much less the correct answers. First and foremost though is being responsible for yourself and your family, if you need a hand up no one should be denied that. There are also those that are working that are denied any type of help because they haven't figured out how to play the system. They need help as well. But who should give the help? If charity is forced it is not charity. I don't know, the subject of disabled adults has a lot of gray areas it is not always clear cut black and white. There are many disabled adults who do work, who can live independently, then there are those that absolutely can't work and are totally dependent and finally, there are those who aren't disabled but still get assistance. So how do you weed out those that are leeching the system? This is a very sad subject as many who need the help can't get and not because of one particular political party nor politician but because of the corruption and abuse of the system. In a couple years, abortion will be available to "dispose" of babies who will be born with these types of issues. In fact, it's already been suggested by British scientists, and endorsed by certain people in our governemt, to offer POST BIRTH abortions to families who discover that their child will be developmentally, physically, or mentally handicapped. It's a 28 day trial period to see if you want to be a parent. I've even heard that this is being proposed for parents who simply can't or shouldn't have babies. Drug addicts, young teens, criminals, etc. I haven't been able to find this on paper, but I've heard it's been supported in certain scientific and government groups. |
