The Sacred Feminine

As an American woman, I feel very sad and pretty much worthless.

You see, I've been conditioned to think of myself as either a second-rate citizen (the old patriachy taught me that) OR
as nothing more than a sexual object whose purpose is to snare men into casual sex (the media taught me that one).

If I were sacred, I wouldn't even know where to start looking for it.

Women's lib didn't do a damn thing for many as we were told to think like a man and then hate him.

But I appreciate your post OP. It actually made me cry a little to think of myself as divinely feminine. What a concept.


What's wrong with you woman, if that is indeed what you are? Snap out of it! Stop your whining. Why would you listen to anyone about who you are? That has got to come from inside you. If you think of yourself as some second rate citizen or some sexual object when you live in a free country then what does that say about you? You must not be doing things you shouldn't and/or not taking care of your responsibilities.

Grow up and act like a real women!


To confess that which you feel is to set aside pride, admit imperfection and accept the fact that healing is needed is where growth begins... To say that which is imperfect is perfect is just a lie you tell yourself because you refuse to seek healing and growth...

The goddess concept is not a new fad. She is an ancient archetype going back before written history to the dawn of human civilization.

Just as every fetus starts out female, the first godhead was the divine feminine. Women were sacred, because only they could bring forth life into the world. Every person on earth comes out of a woman. No patriarch has the power to change this biological fact.

Human civilization would do better if the divine feminine was respected & honored like it was in the past. IMHO the last ten thousand years of Patriarchal religion has been cruel & barbaric. Particularly for women & children.

I have no interest in hurting your feelings, but I, as a woman, am perfectly sick of women doing things they shouldn't, getting used by men, and then blaming the the crummy men they chose to begin with. If you, as a woman, have ever slept with a man without being married to him, you are a jeopardizing the lives and well being of any possible children you have from that union. I'm not saying that is your situation, but what kind of woman would play roulette with her child's family? What kind of mother is it that won't try her best to make sure her children have a father around by sleeping with only their husband.

Where is the fight in women these days? Stand up and tell your man what qualities you expect him to have, then make sure you have them yourself. Stop toying with this stupid goddess notion. Your more that some idiotic made up goddess crap. You, as a woman, are given the power and obligation to approve the men who will be allowed to procreate. If a man is worth his salt, he wants a woman that will not only stand beside him, but also stand up to him.

If your beef is with the work force world. Men can be as conniving and back biting as any woman, maybe more so. They will undermine you in anyway they can if they feel you pose a competitive threat. They will use your emotional monthly nuttiness to their advantage to screw you, too. Beware, when working with men and develop a real thick skin. If you cry in front of them, they will totally lose respect. It's just the way of the jungle.

To me, The Sacred Femine is a Priestess of The Goddess. The Temple Goddess, as she channeled the Goddess energy and life force. She carries the sexual energy, wisdom and knowledge of the Goddess...the Mysteries within. She is a constant flowing source of energy of the Goddess.
Through Her, others may obtain the touch of Enlightenment. Learn the joys of Life, Sensuality, Wisdom and Knowledge. Erotica, Sexuality and the Sacredness & Power of the Feminine.
She speaks for the Goddess in many forms. Through the forms of dance...where each movement is sacred in and of itself, through her words...either spoken or written...for they hold much knowledge and wisdom from the labyrinth. Through her touch to spread the energy of the Goddess and bring forth the feminine energies needed to unite the Sacred masculine & feminine energies within...igniting the Sacred Flame that leads to Enlightenment of Ones Higher Self.
She devotes her life first and foremost to the service of her God/dess, her Higher Power in which she stands. Her life follows that of where her Higher Power leads her, to whom the Higher Power brings to her, for she is always in service. This is her Path. This is also the energy of the Kundalini...the Kundalini Energy *is* the Life Force...the Higher Power...the Sexual Life Force that holds All and leads All to Enlightenment of Higher Self....OneSelf.
