i just got a voicemail about this and this is all i could find: The Pentagon's new Cyber Command is seeking authority to attack computer networks around the globe to protect American interests, drawing objections from Obama administration lawyers uncertain about the legality of offensive operations. Cyber Command's commander, General Keith Alexander, who also heads the National Security Agency, wants his new command to be able to mount what he has called ''the full spectrum'' of operations in cyberspace. Offensive actions could include shutting down part of an opponent's computer network or changing a line of code in an adversary's computer. They are operations that destroy, disrupt or degrade targeted computers or networks. [ link to www.smh.com.au] my understanding is that this is about to happen Since when did our government worry about doing something that wasn't legal? Seems a little disingenuous all things considered. We didn't get THIS Popular globally by worrying about legalities! ;) Quoting: ^Watcher^Btw, I was being sarcastic about the "popular" remark. My fear is that if they get the shot, they will take it. They say it is to "protect American interests". Are those the "interests" that actually benefit us or the "interests" we as American citizens know nothing about, benefit only the shadow governments and are probably totally illegal to begin with. I'm betting it's the latter.
