I love a special Marine, my cousin, who is supposed to leave for Afghanistan in January. The Marines have done an amazing job with him, and he's done amazing from boot camp on. I hope he's not near the action as he repairs vehicles and rebuilds engines. I realize there is not a "front line" like past wars, and I pray for his safety and the safety of all our military. Here's to all of our brave Marines! Happy Birthday!! T For Texas, T For Tennessee! The virtue of courage is a prerequisite for the practice of all other virtues, because otherwise one is virtuous only when virtue has no cost. There are times when something needs to be done, and yet we know that if we step up and do this needful thing, we will pay a heavy personal price. -C.S. Lewis |

I don't know if asshole Obama will honor the Marines today, but if he refers to the Marine Corps as Marine Corpse, I will be tempted to put on my old 11-EEE combat boots and kick his scrawny ass up and down Pennsylvania Avenue. Can you believe that a man who has never served in the military and who thinks that "corpsmen" is pronounced "corpse.men" is now our Commander in Chief? As they so eloquently say on the GLP forum: WTF? As for you, CrazyJarhead, I will be drinking a toast to the Corps today at noon (Florida time) and I hope you join me. If you miss the one at noon, there will be others at two-hour intervals ending at midnight. There's so much to remember. Have a great day. |
