Where do you guys stand on the idea of future people being genetically engineered

I have very mixed feelings on this subject. On one level I don't see anything wrong with helping future people by ensuring that people will be born genetically healthy, however I am against the idea of breaking people up into classes based on their genetics. Like in Brave New World for example. When people are genetically engineered I feel that they should all be engineered the same so that everyone can be equal. I don't mean everyone looking and acting the same, but everyone having the same abilities.

I am very against any mistreatment of anyone with a disability, I have several that are genetically based myself, but I don't think that it is wrong to prevent future people from having these problems. That way suffering is reduced.
