To me that's not fighting crime, since victimless crimes in my mind are not crimes. Cops should be for ticketing people going like 20+ above the speed limit, bank robbers, hard drug dealers, ghetto thugs who graffiti up shit, and stuff like that. Real crimes. And no shooting dogs.

I understand the position they are in as well as their personality type. I can only imagine the type of people they must deal with on a daily basis. People are people, best to judge them based on character not lump them all into one catagory.

Retards can do it. They exaggerate the safety factors to make it sound more dangerous...just so you're nice. Look it up, not a very dangerous job at all. The bottom line is power. They could give 2 shits about public safety. The Sheriff dept and the Police dept are merely businesses to generate revenue for the state (themselves) and to enhance their own job security.
