How to Break a Fever?

Sweat lodge.

My Mum always told me you need to sweat a fever out. Lots of bed rest and heavy blankets. Make sure he's constantly sipping fluids, ideally water, throughout the day. You don't want him to become dehydrated.

Cold washcloth on his forehead, you do not want fever to get out of control. Must get Tylenol in him to reduce fever, any fever above 103 is very serious and you may want to contact doctor asap.

I think I'll make one now, and I haven't been sick in 20 years...

Keep applying cold cloths to his

forehead
back of his neck
under armpits
groin area (this may be really uncomfortable)
feet

sips of water...not cold...room temperature...as much as possible, without making him sick. Soup broth will help too..try to give him little or no sugar or additives/preservatives.

There is a homeopathic remedy called Aconite. I have no idea about availability in your area, however, it is pretty common and most health foods stores carry it. It comes in a small vial, tiny pellets...you will want 30C potency. This remedy is wonderful for fevers. The great thing about homeopathic remedies is that there are no side effects. They can be taken in conjunction with advil, tylenol, etc. Just dont eat or drink anything twenty mins before or after he takes the pellets. Traditionally, five pellets under the tongue...three times per day.

Its best to allow the body to process through the fever. However, as mentioned..if it gets over 102 (for an adult) that is a really high fever. I am not much into western medicine, but at that point, I would highly recommend getting medical attention. A fever in an adult should break within two days maximum.

Also, aside from managing the fever, you may want to consider giving him something to knock off any bacterial or viral infections he MAY potentially have. Antibiotics if you lean towards western medicine, or as mentioned, vitamins, perhaps colloidial silver and some oil of oregano.

Finally...imagine the inside of his body cooling off. Keep imagining this. Imagine what he is like well. As you help him heal, keep these images clear in your mind.The amazing biology of belief!

Still would not recommend Tylenol for mild fever. It will prolong fever or sickness. Your body need fever to fight whatever it is effectively and quickly.

However, Vitamin D kicks ass big time. It PREVENTS flu, cold, cancer, etc. Do you know any drugs that can do all of that?

Since you work for a pharmaceutical company, dig around and look for a patent over vitamin D analogues to fight cancer. I believe it was patented in the early 1990s. Analogues don't work as good as natural vitamin D which can't be patented.

Pharmaceutical companies should be very afraid of vitamin D... considering that 80% of USA population are deficient in it. Simply correcting it and maintaining it at optimal level, phama companies stand to lose tens of billions of dollars a year.... It's that powerful....

Hey Pet......A fever is a body system to burn out an infection or bug....let it run for at least 48-72 hours make hubby comfy lots of fluid. watch it does not go above 102 for a prolonged period.
