(OP) User ID: 1160825 United States 12/01/2010 03:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm not a tattoo artist, but I do have alot of tattoos. For myself personally, I would not trust a tattoo artist who has no tattoos. Quoting: DebaserI can see that. Though I am talking post SHTF not a business in this current state of the world. It would be more of a hobby for now. But it is a great point. Last Edited by wisdomknight on 12/01/2010 03:18 PM "I find your lack of faith disturbing." |

(OP) User ID: 1160825 United States 12/02/2010 05:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | - (For Christians ONLY) Quoting: wisdomknightI was wondering what other Christians here think of tattoos in general (not just if they would get one) just if they think its wrong for others and a sin. If so is it because of marking your body permanently? Would you only be against it only if its a skull, evil symbol etc? Being a 3d game artist I sometimes struggle wondering if i should be modeling/animating say a monster, demon or an orc character thats required for a game. Is that any different from say tatooing the same on someone. Or is it their problem? Last Edited by wisdomknight on 12/02/2010 06:01 PM "I find your lack of faith disturbing." |

Quoting: wisdomknightId really like to hear your take. I dont think I would get one, I still want to fulfill the Prophecy of being the Unblemished Heifer, ...lol ! seriously, I do think it would null and void any kind of prophecy since "markings" and more was very symbolic of being a defect in the sacrificial offerings if it wasnt pertaining to the "Mark of God" in the forehead which is symbolic only. So "No" I dont think any Christian who is studious in the scriptures would get a tattoo. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1152775 United States 12/02/2010 06:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As a Christian with several tattoos, I would warn against getting tattoos's that would be offending to God. Although I have several tattoo's are "demonic" in appearance, I do not plan to remove them. They remind me of my past and the person that I once was. They also help me look forward to a resurrected body which will be perfect, pure, and free of scars. |

Quoting: wisdomknight- (For Christians ONLY) I was wondering what other Christians here think of tattoos in general (not just if they would get one) just ifthey think its wrong for others and a sin. - (For real Tattoo Artists) How is practicing on tattoo skins? Is it "real" enough? And are there different qualities of tatoo skins? And any other tattoo starter kits they would recommend. *** BTW I am a very experience traditional and 3D artist *** I have used a tattoo gun on a person years ago just fuckin around. Didnt know what the hell I was doing though *** And I am I Christian with no tattoos myself. Interesting. Tattooing is an amazing art and actually can be used for pain relief [link to turtlesvoice.blogspot.com] Some think it's a sin and site Leviticus as a source as they eat shellfish. I think when the shit hits the fan, there will be those who seek the art and the pain relief, perhaps more than they do now. |

Modern tats are nothing like that. What was that about his people dying from ignorance? |

I've never seen one I would especially want we thought about designing our own matching tattoos but never did it at the cowboy museum out in the desert you can take branding irons as a romantic thing and brand each other. never did thst either lol anyway as far as I know they are no big deal for believers. certainly those obtained before conversion aren't a problem. I personally would question demonic tattoos applied to a believer but hey to each their own how about a heart or some flowers or maybe just the old school popeye anchors. someone needs to bring back the popeye anchors love rb |

WOW....I actually always predicted branding (along with scaring) would be bigger in the future. It seems anything extreme or violent does become more widely popular, sadly. Great comment! We were brought up Seventh Day Adventist...even getting your ears peirced was a no no...it was considered pagan. I'm no longer in that church and believe a lot of the old testament is done with because of Christ. (actually thats where I am right now, sometimes I wonder if following the old ways is the way to go.) Our perfect companions never have fewer than four feet. ~Colette |

Personally I wont mark myself with a unique identification that police or others can use against you. I think when TSHTF you would want to blend in with the masses. Good luck with a tattoo.
