Buffalo gets lake effect. In Massena it just snows all winter, every fucking day. My highschool was literally buried in snow all winter in 77, you couldn't even see it except for the front doors where they were cleared and the auditorium/gymnasium. |

People that use snow tires have the on already. You will find a lot of people don't use them. Ive never had snow tires on my car, never felt the need for them. I live in Hamburg and we ended up with 20 inches of snow. The roads where cleared fast and all the kids where in school today. Yeah, I learned early on that regular radials with the air let out a bit was better than snow tires. Snow tires are a rip off |

User ID: 8922 United States 12/03/2010 07:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Your storm must have scared VDOT, they were sand-salting I-66 today between Fairfax and Front Royal (Virginia). We had a few brief snow flurries. Driving home tonight around 6:30 I saw my first snow of the season. Big fat flakes, very pretty. But I have not forgotten the 2 storms that dropped 4 feet on us last February. I thought I was gonna die. No power, no heat, no computer, no phone, no way to cook food, 0 degrees F, wind blowing like a sonofabitch. It took them 10 days to dig out our road. 10 freakin' days. |

I always hate a big storm this early in the season, it seems like as soon as you get done moving all the snow around it melts and makes a freakin mess... Quoting: HickoryI used to live in Baldwinsville. Remember lots of snow and cold winters. I used to sell in the States, and spent many a night in Baldwinsville before sliding into the Adirondacks after spending the morning in the Q.... |

There are plenty around the country. Baldwinsville NY. Lived there from 80 till 87. Then moved to the Buffalo area. Mine was a town my mother didn't flinch a second to let me walk to the Rexall drug store for a $.10 package of ring dings from the money I earned mowing the lawn.. a mile and a half away... alone... while 8 years old. |

User ID: 1097026 United States 12/04/2010 09:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | WOW! I pity you folks in Buffalo. I grew up in central Massachusetts in what's called the "snow belt". They get walloped with three foot storms, but nothing like you folks have to endure from October to April. You have my condolences. PS: I now live in Florida. |
