Was thinking about this last night. Since Newton's gravitational attraction is inversely proportional to the distance between the 2 objects, and we cannot tell how fast we are moving relative to the space around us, how can we prove gravity is a function of mass ? Have there ever been any experiments measuring gravitational attraction between accelerating bodies of different masses ? How the hell would you pull that off ? You are stuck in the 18th century grow up.  Thanks assplug. Newton did not assume variable density of objects, and Newton's laws alone do not explain gravity, otherwise it would be identical as a constant around the entire planet.
