Was thinking about this last night. Since Newton's gravitational attraction is inversely proportional to the distance between the 2 objects, and we cannot tell how fast we are moving relative to the space around us, how can we prove gravity is a function of mass ? Have there ever been any experiments measuring gravitational attraction between accelerating bodies of different masses ? How the hell would you pull that off ? You are stuck in the 18th century grow up. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1187504Thanks assplug. Newton did not assume variable density of objects, and Newton's laws alone do not explain gravity, otherwise it would be identical as a constant around the entire planet.
