Read an article today online which gave details of an agreement signed in 1844 whereby Jewish people were permitted to return to what was then termed Palestine. I didnt save the article and cant right now recall the name of the agreement but it was connected with the Turks.
Will try to find it if anyone is interested.
That agreement superceded Balfour's by many decades
so why the people didnt begin to flow back to Palestine
