So many good suggestions, I'm writing all of these names down. The trip to the liquor store is going to be interesting.

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, Rico, but I do like Abita Turbodog with spicy cajun food and such.

Re: Suggest a beer!
Try something a little more festive. Poor buddy, all alone...

I like a black velvet:

4 oz. dry apple cider [the kind with booze and bubbles]
4 oz. Guinness

float the Guinness on top of the cider for a cool black & tan effect. Or maybe it was the other way around, I can't remember I was so drank.

Anyway, try it, it is so good, and it impresses the ladies, but is not too girly.

Unfortunately, I drink to enjoy the drink, not to get drunk.

And Bacardi is terrible rum.

They GIVE that stuff away in Puerto Rico and people still don't drink it.

Yes, all of these shandy variants can be made with a variety of beers, ales, stouts mixed with ciders, European lemonades or ginger ales. You can mix and match to suit your own palate. Experimentation is fun. You could try Perry and Extra Stout, if it is cold outside.

No, lemonade in this context is more like what you call Sprite, but less sweet.
