I'm callin you out Christians, you & "The Book of Man"

I'm reading the work, I am curious about the writer. That's the part I like to delve into after the text- the man behind the text. I think you have to know a good deal about the author to appreciate his work, or know how much weight to give the text.

That's probably one of my big problems with scripture, huh?

Why would what you think bother people who believe the Bible is the word of God?

Well let me ask you this question then: Since the Adversary is in control of ALL the major publishing houses......then why does the Bible continue to be the MOST printed book on the face of the planet?

In the end, is it really going to be only one "truth" that wins. Will the seeker of truth be granted any points for the quest, or will those who were lucky enough to only be exposed to one idea trump those with open minds?

If a story is told over TIME the story changes. This is even evident in a current conversation when tested. So to get the truest possible versions of the stories told, you have to go back to the oldest source you can find telling those same stories. In this case, and all religious bases, Sumeria is the origin. You can bypass most of the spin off versions and just go directly there for the oldest records we have found to date. Again 7,000 years old & predating the Bible aka Word of Man.

People are insecure. They cling to religion. The Bible sells because there is a market for it.

There is also a huge cultural component to the keeping of a Bible. Many Christians own more than one copy of a Bible. Many muslim families I have known share one Qu'ran.

Does that have to do with the availabilty of the book, the character of the people, or the accuracy of the text? God only knows, right?

That question of yours shows such insight on YOUR part, that I am truly impressed!

Obviously those who choose to go down with the LIE, will get another chance at the classroom lessons on the next go round.........so it behooves all of us to search most expediently for the Truth, to avoid THAT merry-go-round! IMHO

Entirely true, in my experience. But that still leaves little to do with whether any of these texts were "from god's mouth to man's ear."

There are many ways to see things and sometimes they are all true. I think if we seek, we eventually find and as my wife reminds me daily, we are given intellect for a reason. Life is a learning experience. I believe we will continue to learn long after we have left this existence behind.

To answer your other question, I think people have a tendency to preach the message that got through to them. The one that made an impact on their lives. Some of the most vocal often changed their ways out of fear. Sometimes for a really good reason. Those experiences can be enlightening, but at the same time limiting. We are each keepers of our own hearts. The fact they care enough to share is positive, but not everyone is in a position to help everyone else. One plants, another waters etc...

We have no better Scriptures at hand, sadly. Do you know something better?

LOL. I'm not quite the shallow bimbo so many people think I am because I don't engage in nasty arguments with people. In my mind, excessive vehemence is usually suspect when it comes to most topics. I am more easily commanded by a whisper than a scream, you know?



How is one to know whether thier truth is a lie? Is it better to consider only what was given to you as a child, or is there an advantage in considering a little bit of everything? Some days I wish I had that bit of faith. But most days, I'm more content being rationally skeptical.

Let's go further back. Take the god described in the book of Job. He wasn't taking any shit. He wasn't even taking any questions.

Does god really have room for doubters? The Bible doesn't give a clear answer. The Qu'ran is much clearer in this regard. Clearer, and scarier. LOL

Infernal is not unusual in this regard. He is a believer in god, but reason and common sense tell him there are issues with believing that the bible in his hand is the literal word of god.

Very few people are aware of the past history of this planet...Many refer to ancient texts, but what is really ancient, in the big scheme of things...

We have all heard the musings of Atlantis...Some choose to belief it is myth, some say otherwise...For those who are on the side of Atlantis being true - This information would predate current religious text, yet there is no mention of it in the bible(s)...

The biblical story of noah, could actually be based on the time of Atlantis sinking, as it is assumed, Atlantis was lost beneath the waves, and most of the earth was under water...
Recent mapping of underwater anomalies, seem to indicate, structures of purposeful design...

I think the bible and religious leaders in general, in our recent past (10,000 years or so) have set up a paradigm of control, using religion as it's foundation...However their version is a twisting of events, the noah and Atlantis story, is a prime example...

IMO, there is a prime source, where everything sprang from...
But, to use this principle and claim the prime source has spoken to certain prophets here on earth, and chosen one's to proclaim commands...They even go so far as to have a counter to god, the devil/lucifer/satan, to account for the shit they planned to pull off...

No, what is going on here is we have a galaxy, which is essentially a school...Like all schools, there are bullies, cliques, and clubs trying to put forth their paradigm and control the others...The religious structure on this planet is a result of this paradigm...

Religion on this planet is 'alien' in origin, a control device - One of the many tools in their arsenal...

I can hear it now - Christians calling this "new age crap"...All I can say is: WAKE - UP!!!

From my perspective: Your powers of "discernment" have already served you well! Indeed, when the topic turns angry, then somebody is trying to deal with the Truth on a level of consciousness that they don't want to go to..........so we allow for personal growth, and back off! :)


Faith is the absence of Knowing........for when Faith grows up, it becomes Knowing! For when you Know something, you no longer need Faith!

Truth is simply an understanding of the way things really are!

Sometimes we don't listen,....
Other times we don't want to,....
And times we won't accept,....
Most of the time,.... we know.
When you did an unselfish deed and a rush comes over you,....
When you went out of your way to help a stranger, and they truly are thankful and you know it,....
When you merely did the right thing in a situation when needed,....
In those instances, many will feel it, and know it.
Not from a book/church/religion of man.
