I'm in Western PA. I don't think we'll get much. And I think I saw last night on the news that we're expecting 50 degree temps for New Years. I had been drinking though so maybe I just imagined that. I also saw pink bunnies and Elvis.

I know Attleboro well. My late husband was from there. Sounds like you are in for it. I'm in the Springfield area, just south near the Ct border.

Yeah, I've heard about lake effect snow. It can happen all the time. You don't need no major weather system to come through. And until recently I didn't realize the finger lakes region had it happen a lot also.

The forecast for Baltimore - DC has been revised. We had a winter storm warning for 6-10 inches and now it's a winter weather advisory for around 1-3 inches

Likewise , I know the area fairly well. I've done commercial buildings in Windsor CT and the BJs' in Springfield and Auburn. It's seems we always get the heavey wet stuff here, after 40+ yrs here I seldom remember a light fluffy snow.

And this will be a wet one. Shoveling is going to be very difficult both here and east where you are.

It is snowing here now. I am going for a little nap. Will check in later to see how folks are doing.

Western plymouth county here..Steady snow now, has been falling like this for at least an hour now. Wind gusts also starting but not strong yet. I am hoping they let my daughter leave work before it gets worse..retail stores should be made to shut-down, they have no respect for the safety of their workers.

We've been upgraded to blizzard, too. The storm is tracking further inland. But nothing serious yet.

Re: Waiting for the snow to start...
Not as intense as they said so far here in Attleboro. There's a solid 3-4" but it's still coming down. After looking at the NOAA map, it looks like the main storm is well off shore...we'll see.

Wow, the Down Under is still open ? Haven't been there in about 15 yrs. Does the piss still run out from under the men's room door ?
