A 40-year-old rapist forced a teenage girl to take methamphetamine during an assault at a Klamath Falls motel, authorities said.
He had help from another teenage girl, who was paid off in meth for helping hold down the victim.
"Itīs a sign of the severity of meth epidemic locally and nationwide," said Chief Deputy Rod Dailey of the Klamath County sheriffīs office.
The victim was a 17 years old, and the accomplice was 15, Dailey said.
Accused of rape and other charges was Tracy Lamont Matthews.
All three are Klamath Falls residents and were acquaintances, Dailey said. He said itīs not known how the three of them came to the room at the Oregon 8 Motel, at 5225 Highway 97.
The victimīs mother reported the rape about 2 a.m. Wednesday, and the victim identified her two assailants, Dailey said.
Dailey said deputies didnīt know how much methamphetamine the victim was forced to ingest, nor how much the second girl was paid.
Matthews was charged with rape, solicitation to commit prostitution, introducing controlled substance to a minor and criminal conspiracy. He was held at Klamath County Jail in lieu of $360,000 bail.
The 15-year-old was accused of rape, criminal conspiracy and solicitation to commit prostitution.
Dailey said Matthews was also booked on charges in another, unrelated, crime - statutory rape charges in which heīs accused of having sex with a woman under 16. Dailey said that Matthews had had a romantic relationship with the woman, and she was pregnant.
