I was a BlackJack dealer for 5 years.
Ya the "house" wins but the dealer doesn't always.
HAVE FUN. Tell the dealer that you are playing for the first time - he/she will be happy to help you, (I loved dealing to "newbies"!) so will other players at the table. Finding the right dealer will help - it won't help you win - but you are going to enjoy yourself.
