My neighbour works for the local water authoity which gets the towns drinking water from a local lake. He told me the inlet pipe to the water treatment plant is clogged with dead fish and birds. But not because the "nature" of the water has changed. But because of all the poison the government and corporations are putting in the environment. Stuff like fluoride, aluminum, barium, corexit, oil, industrial waste and I'm sure there are many more. You folks might want to start testing your water samples. Check for metals first. Those anywhere near the coast should check for corexit. It's only a matter of time until that hits the aquifer. If you are gonna drink water from the tap -- distill it and then run it thru a food-grade activated charcoal filter. |

You obviously do not have Irish ancestors who have told you all the stories about what happens there. My grandmother used to go home and fill her bottle with Knock holy water, come back and use it to cure everyone's headaches. Their water is different from the rest of the world to begin with. Here in London.. water is just about barely drinkable, but tastes foul to me, wheras up north around Cumbria/Pennines area.. the water simply couldn't be 'fresher' if it tried.. pure pure.. fresh water! That stuff you guys drink down in the smoke has been through every person whose piped into the mains at least ten times and is ALL recycled piss/excrement/drugs/medicine/the 'pill'/tainted rain. I worked at Mogdon lane water works near Twickenham ten years ago (piling contract) and they told us all about how the plant worked in our 'safety' briefing before they let us in. I live in the penine area. Our water tastes sweet and fresh. When we brewed up in London, there was always some scum floating on the top of the tea ... fucking horrible taste too. We brought our own water down with us after that, in five gallon jerrycans. I am very lucky. There is a natural open spring bubbling out of a moorside well right behind my house, and it runs right through my garden. It is crystal clear and very pure, delicious to drink and never stops running. Not since 1972 anyway. The horses drink there every day and so do I. |
