SirenaV User ID: 1224913 United States 01/10/2011 01:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in northeast pennsylvania, near scranton. i too have noticed the lack of birds. if i were to guess i'd say there are 1% to 5% of the birds i am used to seeing.... all since 01/01/11. I've been looking out my kitchen window on a regular basis the past 5 or so days, and frankly there are NO birds at all. There have always been many birds out this view. |

Usually the 4 different trees surrounding my house are full of the blackbirds and many other varieties, including robins. I have seen flocks of blackbirds in a 10 mile radius. I have seen a lot of Geese in a few farm fields in the area. I have seen the footprints of the pigeons next to my water feature and seen them perched on my neighbors roof. But, I haven't seen the normal winter bird visitors. The little ones who eat the berries on my trees. It is actually very quiet. Anyone else notice a lack of birds in their neighborhood? Yes....we normally have tons of birds and there are zero in Arizona, where I live! |
