When/where will 1st Riot in US be?!

Actually I think that the days of group action being an effective means of political change, violent or non-violent, are becoming a thing of the past. I think we are moving more into a realm of individual action. For a non-violent example, one of the most powerful actions a person can take is to stop participating in the system. Quit being a slave to consumerism and debt. Quit caring about the shallow values sold in the media, see through the lies of selling your life for a paycheck or a new car, quit paying taxes.

On the more active end, a few hundred people acting independently and autonomously to throw a wrench in the system wherever they can and then disappear could do a lot more than a half-million rioting all at once.

But again, it will take bravery to do either one, and individual bravery is not to be found in the US.

What was that line? From the poet Robert Frost perhaps? "Not with a bang, but a whimper."
