(OP) 12/08/2005 10:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I recently experienced an incredible outpouring of negative energy from one in transition to spirit.. It was not imagined,it was real. A dear person told me, before this happened, that a soul releases its negative energy, allowing it to mkae the transition. I guess it´s like "travel lighter"? Sometimes the passing of the spirit is not what causes the grief, saddness or "hardship". Sometimes their passing is a relief and it is what and who is left behind that "causes" the distress? In my situation there is a 46 year old man, with cerebal palsy, who has lved all but the last 4 weeks with his mother, who passed last week. There is not only his struggle to come to terms with her absence from his life, but his ocnfusion in his new home, and the practicalities of his day to day life which have, even more so, become our practicalities. There is no question for those us who spent the most time with her during her care that she is WAY better off now than she was before. I may be diverting this thread, way beyond the intention of those already reading but, I´m going to do it anyway. The close relative with Cerebal palsy was fascinating to watch on the day of the funeral of his mother. This is a man with the alleged mental age of about a 12 year old, give or take. He is emotionally about there too. Part of his "disability" is having no concept of time. Two minutes before the service was to begin, and we were to begin the walk into the Chapel, he was telling jokes to the Minister. Not to distract himself, not false levity, but genuinely enjoying having someone to tell jokes to. Then when the music began (Into the West) and we began the walk into the chapel, about half way he saw the coffin and had been listening to the music. He began to cry. He cried off and on throughout the service. At the end, we, the family, left the Chapel to an ante room to be greeted by all who had attended. Everyone came to him. He soon had a cup of coffee by him and savories in his hand, and he was chatting away freely and happily. THAT is living int he NOW folks. No conept of time is a disability? Yeah right! |
