Cant get in touch with the lost and found, anyway the lost and found is underground.
My phone would ring through the first 3 hours it was missing, now its been either turned off or turned in.
Lost and found doesnt answer their phones.

Habit, I lost my DL a few years ago and used my passport for identification. When they finally reissued my DL it said duplicate on it and some bars wouldnt let me in, so I carried it as a back up.

Forgot to take it out.

Since a passport is proof of both identity and citizenship, I imagine that someone could use it to get a drivers license and then get a certified copy of your birth certificate, and then "become" you.

Yup, left my purse on a train. In order to check lost and found I would need to leave the subway station. My metrocard was in that bag, therefor if I left the subway station I couldnt come home.
I figured the first thing to do would be get home and start calling my cell phone and the lost and found from his phone. I tried to borrow other people's cellphones but no one would lend them to me. I've been calling lost and found every 20 minutes for the last few hours.

I am assuming someone picked it up and walked away with it because of the location I was in. I guess we should instead call this "finders-keepers"?
