Ok, I had a Rottie I spent 3k on surgery for a torn cruciate and then she tore the other, vet confirmed....this time, I didn't have the surgery done, crated her, limited her activity for a couple of months and ZERO problems with that leg after that. She was back to normal activity after about 3 months time.

The important thing is to keep her activity to very little...NO STAIRS, NO RUNNING, NO JUMPING ON FURNITURE! These are things you'd have to do anyway if she was going to have to have surgery...gauranteed 3 months, as little activity as possible. So..You may want to try that before taking the surgery plunge.

Also, not sure what kind of food you're feeding, but if you live near a Natural Pet Food store, I suggest you speak with them about a good high grade food and supplements to support joints and ligaments.

Good Luck!

Ty! See, this is what I was thinking if it's a partial tear. Just keep her in check, do my holistic regime and what have you. I know the protocol and can reinforce it. I just feel damned if I do and damned if I dont, ya know? I don't want her to be slighted because of me 'doubting medicine'. I will see after the next vet and take it from there. I can care for her impeccably in the meantime. IT JUST SUCKS.

Lot's of glucosamine, anti inflams, etc.

:( always fucking something.
