In addition to asking them both mentally and verbally (I know you feel a little crazy sitting there in your living room saying "I won't scream if you materialize in front of me!"), actively show them that you will not harm them, by not harming other living beings. Save that spider in the corner and carry him out to the garden. Talk to your plants. Stop to pet your neighbor's dog instead of kicking him when they're not looking. Appreciate the beauty of a butterfly's wings. Develop a heart of compassion and they will be actively seeking you out. |

Thank you for your answers :) I was in my late twenties when they asked and because of the questions I asked, they had sort of an interview where three of them asked me questions about my belief in God and the purpose of life...To which I answered that I believe God wishes to duplicate himself through us...We are here to choose our orientation to see if we harmonize with His plan basically...because we have free will, it's up to us to choose. Apparently, that was good enough...so I was in...Then I told them I have had a Vasectomy, and they basically laughed and said that's not a problem with...um extraction...
