Did you think politicians get into politics to help people or make government better? Oh, HELL NO! They do it to make money, gain privilege and be "famous". Those civic matters mean nothing. You have to bee greedy, corrupt and fickle to make it as a politician. In fact, a score like mine (85%) would be considered a liability. This is why the biggest danger to peace, prosperity and safety is The Government. Its not about us or the "USA", it is about them, them, them, them, them. |

Canadians spend way too much time worrying about Americans. I had to stop a friend of mine in mid-sentence the other day, we were talking about the sudden increase in crazy cross dressing white-guys who shoot people & he said "Canada's constitution allows us to protect ourselves against creepy minorities like that.." I was like seriously dewd look it up.. we don't have a constitution. But there should be an unwritten universal law that says we are morally obligated to shoot every crazy cross-dressing white guy out there waving a gun, that shit can never end well. k-bye now.. |

Quoting: H823PUTTAnd I agree, the answer for question 33 is wrong... 33) If taxes equal government spending, then: A. government debt is zero B. printing money no longer causes inflation C. government is not helping anybody D. tax per person equals government spending per person E. tax loopholes and special-interest spending are absent I answered A. There answer assumes that the gubbment will spend the same $$ on every individual. That's a joke. And yes: Thanks for a meaningful post OP. And thanks to the MODS for the pin. A is not right -- it would be right if government income equalled government spending every year from the beginning, but not because government income equals government spending just this year. D is sort of a "null" answer, it doesn't say anything interesting. "Per person" means to divide the total amount of spending or taxes by the total number of people, but I'll agree that's a typical economist's usage that maybe others don't use. It's a crummy question. I got it right but thought it was lame then and still do. . I thought it was a pretty good test, but the Keynesian slant really messed it up. Economic dogma has no place in a civics test. I had an educated guess on that one.
