We learned about the Constitution and how the government worked. Kids don't get that any more. I'm not too sure they ever did out side the deep south. I'm sad to say, where I work I try to educate my coworkers who seem to know nothing of the Constitution. I have a small copy of it on my desk, and it is getting worn out from all the people reading it. They want to learn, but who is teaching? Quoting: Epic Beard GuyI was required to take Civics in high school in the mid-60s in SoCal. My kids took similar classes in their TX high school in the early-to-mid 90s. I don't know what's taught now. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1230366 United States 01/15/2011 09:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the constitutions original objective was to limit big gubberment. The founding fathers knew that the federal big gubberment was the thing to keep in check. And be careful they never have any over bearing power. Which fact has been wittled away now for the last 200 years. The elites or power hungry have one purpose in life. Control over the masses so they can live very well. |

"30) Which of the following fiscal policy combinations would a government most likely follow to stimulate economic activity when the economy is in a severe recession? While better than most, also embarrassed that I didn't score higher. I suspect the TEA Partyers and libertarians would kick our asses on this quiz. There are a lot of people that call them selves tea partyers, but are just on for the ride. The real constitutionalists TEA Party members and the Libertarians should know this shit better than the average American. I have been to a couple of TEA parties, but do not consider myself to be a member. I do believe the constitution is a literal document, and we would be better off if we returned to the constitutional government that was designed for us. I don't believe party affiliation has anything to do with the constitution. Both parties has stayed from the strait and narrow path of constitutionalism. All politicians elected to national office should be required to pass a test much tougher than this. How can they defend a document they know nothing about?
