I, too, have just about given up on the History Channel. Although I DO believe in UFO's and Extraterrestrials, I don't think that they are NEARLY as numerous as we have been led to believe.

My feeling is, if "They" are here to observe us, WHY wouldn't they have stepped in to mitigate the GOM fiasco? Or why did they allow all of the horror occurring in Japan, and now the radiation is spreading all over the World?

Wouldn't all of that oil/correxit and all of that radiation mess with the results of their "experiment"?

....Or that it's made out of green cheese?!

As far as a program idea, I liked the poster a few pages back who suggested bringing it forward, the "Ancient" part being the legend that thus-and-such has always taken place at a certain location, then bringing it forward by actually GOING to that location, setting up multiple cameras, interviewing the locals, etc. to see if that activity is still occurring.

The basis for my curiosity is that a friend of mine who lives near Mt. Shasta SWEARS that she has seen "lights" zipping around and going INTO the mountain. The Native Americans in the area have long held that Shasta is a Sacred Mountain and there are deities who live on/IN the mountain. She lives far away from big-city lights, is not an alcoholic or drug addict, and is very level-headed and down-to-earth. She even sees satellites which go overhead, but they are recognizable and seem to go by at the same time each night. It would be QUITE interesting if their cameras could be set up and eventually caught some activity!

Also, I wish they could somehow air Jesse Ventura's show. Even if all they could get were "re-runs", the information would be "new" to everyone who doesn't get Bravo and it is still relevant. Just a thought.

If believing that aliens exist and that we were visited by them in ancient times conjures some cognitive dissonance in religious fanatics, then they don't really believe in God. God's power is unimaginable. Our lack of humility as humans leads us to believe that Earth is the only place where intelligent beings reside. Why, if God reigns supreme, couldn't He create other worlds where intelligent life exists? Why is it so hard to accept that there are things we might never completely understand?

I like Ancient Aliens & I don't mind if it is all science fiction... it's fun to watch.

I've read a lot about that place & think the public is being fooled about where our tax dollars - this place is being funded by us. But few know the real story behind it's research... even those work there, don't seem to have a clue. How can they fool everyone? Someone has to know what's really going on there.

I love the show... i still believe in GOD that created the universe including those other beings ...

and I do believe that beings from another planet exist..not that ive seen one..but because ive saw unexplained flying objects hovering way above our camp site during one of our trip on a mountain in my province... our country is not capable of such technology or such experiment especially doing it in the island of my province..

i didnt tell any1 about it cause i dont want to be labeled as crazy and i dont want to destroy the beliefs of my community with God. Im gonna keep that place a secret...

But as what have been describe or how those objects been describe in many sighting... ive seen them..maneuvering capabilities and the lights...the only difference was it was directly above us but far enough to only see those lights...

its the experience i will never forget and will forever makes me wonder.

and for the topic on Season 3... i want to expand their stories on written documents, bible, kuran, and other religious/ myth books.... like "HELL and Aliens"
since heaven was being assumed as in the sky, angels or God descending or ascending in the sky. where did they get the idea of "Hell" especially its description.

as well as other form of punishments or judgment by those beings depicted in different religions for those who disobey them..

for those who believe it is propaganda, well how about this, whats strange about the timing of these shows? these books? is it all a link to the end of the world, theres one thing we do know as people, and that is nothing at all. we are so clueless as to whats really going on and what we really know, the only people that know whats going on with this ancient aliens stuff is the people in charge of it. and is that just normal people? no. who controls the news? the government does, they control newspapers, and why wouldnt they control something like this? they want us to know the truth without just openly saying it, we cant have a mass panic attack. cause then what will happen? people would stop caring about the law, religion, work. nobody would partake in normal law abiding activities. so I'm certain theyve already come up with some plan. They have us see what they want us to see, and sometimes its not only for us to see it as different from what it really is, but also to see exactly whats going on. this is to reduce the element of suprise, so that we can hold our ground maybe or many other possibilites. If you dont believe, I understand. Fear of the future has been going on for thousands of years, which is why i believe, the mayans created such an elaborate calender, because it was out of fear, they were given a specific date when something great and powerful was going to take place.

What was the history of the aliens. When did our galaxy start haveing intelligent life. What is the evolution of an alien. Did the grays(aliens) evolve to have smaller mouths so they can have bigger brains. Did the aliens evolve to have bigger eyes to see more color or to see the darker parts the unverse. Did the aliens evolve to become skinny to reduce there payload so they can go in space.

Is it so wrong to ask questions about our past?

Is it so unimaginable to think that aliens could have visited earth in ancient times? Its just a theory, and a rather good one at that. Sure some of thier evidence might be farfetched or i'm sure even illogical or even fake but a lot of it must be real.

Like perfectly cut 300 ton stone structures dating back over 10,000 years? I'm sure the cavemen did that.

Hard to ignore the literally tens of thousands of ancient structures built all over the globe and simaliar supposedly disconnected civilizations all across the world.

not pure garbage, you don't understand how t.v. works. what you look for is "who is producing" the show. there is no History Channel Council (which is what there would have to be if we go by your logic) who dictates what will be in the show or the opinion being expressed. It's the producer who's vision you are seeing and hearing, so what I always find to be most important is to research the producers of the show and see what else they have done. way better way to know what you are looking at, I hate Fox but i watch Shep because he keeps it real. know your enemy my friend. the producers of Ancient Aliens are pretty far up in my book as people i respect, and although i don't like every episode, i have seen some on there that made me proud, because i wish more people would start putting this out there in the lamestream.

I'd love to see them explore in more detail, the underwater pyramids and structures such as the yoniguni(sp)monument off the coast of Japan.
Hearing about civilizations that evidently predate the last ice age, not only holds my interest, but can raise all kinds of questions that I would like the program to possibly further explore.
Thinking about this can send shivers down your spine... when you consider the modern world we know today, and the events leading up to the present in books such as the Judea-Christian bible, are only a 'blip' in time.... as the world is vastly ancient, as there is evidence of civilizations and ceromonial complexes taking place before the flood, and/or ice age, when modern archeologists, or even the bible, basically agree that man was living in caves with no type of organized society.

I think Ancient Alien theory is the one the most entertaining stuff out there. if it were true, it connects so much stuff together to make sense of EVERYTHING!!! almost.

but, I'm always skeptical about carbon dating and finding out how old a monument is. where do people come up with these numbers? there have been MISTAKES made with carbon dating techniques. and they always talk about "according to 'main stream scientists...'" which they try to discredit, but they use the methods used by these main stream scientists to come up with the age of monuments.

and they always say "what if". well, what if these monuments are not 10~15 thousand years old, but 1~1.5 thousand years old?

and 2012. end of the world because a mayan calendar ends in 2012? what? are they serious? maybe there is another calendar that no one has found yet, or mayans hadn't got around to making another b/c they were too busy shrooming.

has anyone lived through Y2K? I remember so many books and TV shows and panic in general...I laughed when my mother started buying canned foods and firewood.

I find the show interesting. The theories expressed are no more crazy than the big bang or the many other hollow scientific theories or beliefs. Nor crazier than the amazing religious beliefs many of us hold to be true. And every time I hear somebody bring up Cooper I have to roll my eyes. His claims are interesting, but a see him as an example of extreme paranoia. That is the problem with conspiracy theorists and enthusiasts overall. So many of them are TOO paranoid and aggressive to a level that diminished conspiracy theory and makes them a danger to a society. I believe some theories are true, but I do not let these beliefs destroy my life. I would rather discuss the subject with people who are curious and open-minded rather than gun-touting, paranoid, unhinged, militant, fundamentalist, fanatical persons.
