Okra is a staple in southern cooking. One of those ingreidients that are indespensible in comfort foods...
Not having No Republicans in your country is a GOOD thing trust me...They're kinda like sneak theives..they prey on the working class. A subject that will best be kept between you and I.

Hi Nikki, all my baking efforts turn out like biscuits (cookies). Last time I tried to remove my yorkshire puddings from the tray, they flew out like deadly missiles.


My mom taught me to bake and I'm fairly good at it but I won't lie I have had my share of baking failures.

I can't find dried butterbeans here in NW AR. I have to buy them in the can. I couldn't find frozen okra the last time I tried. They only had the pre-breaded kind, so I skipped it.
Nikki, I can't do gumbo. My okra has to be coated with cornmeal and fried crispy.

Good fish but it just ain't the same Nikki. It's gotta be pond or river fresh caught . Froze after cleanin' maybe..But NOT raised ina KOI tank! Just ain't the same.

Look for "lima" beans in the sack. (dried) their on the lower shelf usually. Okra is in the frozen section of your grocery store.
But listen, you can GROW tons of either one in a small garden..do the research or just ask the good folks here...
