(OP) User ID: 1263344 United States 02/16/2011 05:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Weird verbiage from "grandfather" Green: "'That was a wonderful little gal,' Green said. 'We'll miss her desperately.' Born hours after the tragedies on Sept. 11, 2001, Christina was an aspiring politician. She had just been elected to the student council as a third grader in her elementary school. Her maturity level showed in the way she helped care for her 11-year-old brother Dallas, who has a form of autism. 'She was a really special young lady, probably older than her years,' Green said. 'She and her brother were very close. Christina was the mom as much as Roxanna was to little Dallas. She made sure he got on the bus right, made sure he got to karate classes on time.'" [link to sports.espn.go.com] Seems like an odd way for a grandfather to talk about his grandaughter, especially at age 9. "Green never considered skipping spring training." Giffords, too, was in a medically induced coma, but for only a few days. He was then in intensive care for several weeks before beginning the kind of rehab that Giffords, 40, already has been doing. Both Johnson and Giffords suffered damage to the left hemisphere of the brain." [link to www.azcentral.com] |

Miss Giffords has confounded all expectations, partly through sheer willpower. She has taken her first few steps, gently pushing a shopping trolley aided by her therapists, spoken her first words, and added sushi and matzo ball soup, a traditional Jewish dish delivered by her rabbi, to her hospital diet. Her husband, Mark Kelly, a US astronaut, hopes that in April she will travel to Florida to see the blast-off of the final space shuttle mission under his command from Cape Canaveral. He visits every day after his own rigorous training at the nearby Johnson Space Centre. On Monday, she sang Happy Birthday as he turned 47." [link to www.smh.com.au] |

Thanks People WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? Why someone would transplant the brain of a possible clone of Christine Green, into Gabrielle Giffords head???? This doesn't make any sense at all. Solely to perpetuate a conspiracy because if you are unable to process facts you might as well make up your own and the easily led by the nose would follow without question. Simple research into brain injuries should have enlightened everyone yet people want to see pictures of people in their pain and weakest moments and still they do not understand. |

User ID: 1278444 United States 02/27/2011 01:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been exploring this idea a bit in another thread and I thought it was time for this go get its own thread. Quoting: PlautusI think it's possible Giffords has undergone a partial brain transplant into the body of a clone of Giffords born 9 years ago. We've been cloning animals since the sixties, so a human clone is no hurdle today, it's readily accomplished. Sheep farmers have been doing it since the nineties. As far as I know there are no laws against human cloning, but there was a federal funding ban in the United States. As for brain transplants, partial brain transplants have been successful in animals, so doing it in a human is plausible. The main hurdle to overcome is rejection. This rejection is mooted if you transplant into a cloned host. Throw in a few fetal stem cells to knit the brain tissue together and the rest is recovery. If you survive you become a walking advertisement for the service. If you were going to carry this out covertly you'd have some explaining to do. You'd have to explain why the little girl disappeared. Presumably she'd be given a different identity, an adult in a 9 year old's body, the classic "if I knew then what I know now" scenario. You'd also have to explain why the adult's body suddenly underwent massive brain surgery and started acting lobotomized (at worst) or like a 9 year old (if they transplant the child's brain tissue into the adult body instead of throwing it out). All of the technology described is well within our present medical capabilities, all that's required is the will to do so. If you were 31, and were given this option to radically extend your life at the expense of a clone grown just for you, would you take it? You'd have 9 years to think it over and 9 years to grow older all the while knowing that little clone of you is just starting its life. WTF? The brain is the damaged part of Giffords, you dumbass. More fun than you really wanted. |

Simple research into brain injuries should have enlightened everyone yet people want to see pictures of people in their pain and weakest moments and still they do not understand. Quoting: SilverPatriotSimple research into brain transplant surgeries shows that they are technical feasible, they require only the will to do so. As for reproductive cloning, that's also readily accomplished with established technologies. There's nothing at all outrageous about the suggestion that Christina Green could be a young clone of Giffords, facial recognition software identifies them as the same person. Giffords is a politician so from that we can conclude she's vain and self-important, an egomaniac, exactly the kinds of traits you'd expect in someone willing to undergo this kind of radical life extension. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Green is a clone of Giffords, Giffords has had parts of her brain transplanted into that clone to radically extend her life at the expense of the clone's brain, which was likely transplanted into the older body. Stem cells from unused clone embryos would form the perfect therapy after such a surgery. |

Quoting: Doktor HowlOf course we're led to believe Giffords has been shot, but that may not be the case. Obviously if she was in line to get such an operation, she would not be shot, and this would all be a combination of a hoax combined with the actual assassination of judge Roll and possibly others. It seems obvious Roll was the real "target" of the assassin, he was something of a troublemaker, being a "boy scout" type of guy in a world filled with egomaniacs and psychopaths. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 11551809 United States 03/05/2012 11:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | is the adult body carrying the 9 yo brain, and the 9 yo body carrying the adult brain, so both are alive? Quoting: OutTheLoop There are at least two possibilities. The adult brain matter would be transplanted into the younger clone body. The parts swapped out of the clone body could either be pitched in the trash (or used for something else, who knows what), or could be put into the adult body. Obviously the transplant into the young body has the best chance of full recouperation no matter what procedures are done. Careful conditioning of the clone subject could prepare the transplanted brain matter to accept the new body as its own from a purely behavioural standpoint. Keep in mind we're talking about a 9 year old child. Also worth noting, "Suzie Hileman" was reported as telling the child many times "you could be the next Gabby Giffords". Whether or not any of the child's personality and memories (that's what we're talking about here in a partial brain transplant) are transplaneted into the adult body, you could control that body somewhat by remote control. Already work is being done to remotely control rodents and insects and other animals. You could not only wire the adult's (lobotomized or with the child's "personality" transplanted) brain to provide rewards and punishment to control behaviour, you could also put sensors in the eyes and ears and wherever else you could cram them to deliver video, audio and other telemetry from the clone. In that way you could almost completely control the adult body. Even the clone (with the adult's "mind" transplanted into it) could control the adult body remotely. |
