Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1247370now...if this were the case.... that is true,, even mechanics say that if you run below a half tank that it will wear out the in take fuel pumps faster.. I just had to replace one pump in the tank,,did it myself. repair shop wanted $700 to replace it labor and parts. The pump cost me $274 and took me 3 hrs..
