It is pathetic that there are people who will do this dirty work.

They need to be rounded up and made examples of. For as large as this protest is, they ARE being peaceful.

They could sack that whole country right now and they aren't. They are all standing around in huge groups chanting, not running wild looting, stealing, killing. The death toll is considerably low. If this happened in the US don't think for one second it would be this peaceful.

Watch LA lose an NBA championship and look at the damage it does. Hell, watch them WIN one and LOOK AT THE DAMAGE IT DOES! hahahaha

I'm not surprised either. It's done here in the States all the time. I was thinking the same thing actually as I was listening to reports of looting on the MSM. Attempts to discredit the real meaning of the revolution. In reality, wherever possible the "protesters" are uniting to protect private property and valued public buildings (such as the museum in Cairo) from these "looters".

re: The looting of the Museum of Antiquities is an attempt to turn global opinion against the demands of the Egyptian people. Looters steal things, in the museum nothing was stolen.

Egypt revolution is a staged event to allow the USA to back out of the proposed budget cuts in the defense department. horray for the neverending war machine. if it is not the whole reason, it is a great bonus.

I agree, most people would of been thrilled to be in that museum so they could gank stuff. It looked more busted up for no reason. What person in their right mind would just break shit and leave? That isn't going to fix their country. These people have an honest desire to just restructure themselves and to fix egypt from the top down. Robbing and looting are not part of their agendas. However, a few days to a couple of weeks if the banks dont open, food runs out, the water gets cut off, etc. Hell yeah they will be looting. But that will be to SURVIVE.

Humans are pretty predictable when you mass them up like animals... Hell. We ARE animals.

Shame on those agent provocateurs I hope the citizens beat the piss out of them for going against their fellow countrymen.

I was watching this earlier today, they had said that several of the people caught looting had been carrying internal security ID and that it seemed to be a pattern so far.

What is the point of this thread? Security and police looting? Yes because they don´t trust their employment to remain when the system falls.

No, It is the first step in gaining support for the heavy handed fight back being prep'd by elite and loyal military. It is war. Civilians and the military supporting them will be out of the loop and not ready for what is coming. Massacre.

There are reports that the army are out in full force, shooting looters and thugs, and that the Muslim Brotherhood and ordinary youths have taken up a supporting policing role with makeshift weapons, apparently stopping and searching vehicles.

Credible audio reports also indicating that violence and damage is nowhere near the level portrayed by western media.

It sounds like a fairly orderly uprising that TPTB are trying to hijack and escalate for their own purposes. We are not getting an accurate picture through the media.
