Quoting: Anonymous Coward 860229That probably fits somehow with how they view the human body too; more as a mechanism and an object rather than as a spiritual phenomenon. Thanks, Mopar. Have you been to a dr lately? this is how they treat you....like a body not a person with a mind and spirit. Medicine needs to change or homeopathic docs will become the norm... and phase out the robotics of the old british system of medicine. I havent seen a traditional doc since 1988. Stay healthy this will keep you from the clutches. |

More are opting to stay away from "traditional" hospitals because of these issues.... If I was a healthy pregnant mother today..this is the way I would go. This is why it is SO important to BE and STAY healthy. People talk of wealth in monetary terms but wealth is really freedom. Being healthy is being wealthy. |

I remember when I was sixteen years old...in the hospital for double pneumonia. All the veins in my chest were blue and very visibly blue. In come the chief of pulmonary along with docs-in-training making rounds. The chief pull off my hospital gown and exposed my chest for everyone to see.....didn't ask....HE DIDN'T CARE that I was humiliated and embarrassed. I yanked the gown out of his hands and covered myself up and he yanked it off of me again. The angry look on his face was horrible. I remember it vividly to this day. I looked at all the student doctors looking at me...must have been 20 of them. Some had hung their heads and looked away. I probably had a pleading look on my face for someone to help me and stop this........but no one did or said anything. They all let the old bastard god-complex chief do what he wanted. That was back in the mid-1960's. It has just gotten much worse now and with lack of conscience. |

Those that make it and graduate have lost their conscience....those that still retain one well.....they have to keep going around again and again til they either give up and told to go away. |

Medicine needs to change or homeopathic docs will become the norm... and phase out the robotics of the old british system of medicine. I havent seen a traditional doc since 1988. Stay healthy this will keep you from the clutches. Here is a true story from my life. My father had had a heart attack and was being 'kept alive' according to the chief cardiologist by breathing machines, drugs, and other assorted devices. He had 'total organ failure' with a prognosis of never living off the medical machines giving him life. The doctor convinced us to disconnect him and let him go naturally, which should be five to ten minutes after disconnecting him. As they disconnected him, my dad started to come to. When they finally disconnected the artificial respirator, he said "thank-you"! " That's a hundred percent better!" After a few minutes he asked if there was "sports bar" nearby, so we could go get him a cold beer. Then he asked if he could get a t.v. in the ICU room and "watch the Vikes"! The doctor just threw his hands up in the air and walked off in complete disbelief!! My dad made it another three weeks after that. The Rochester, MN. hospital that was treating him dismissed him to a nursing home, where he suffered another heart attack. I believe it was the love of his family that kept him alive, not the machines and drugs. The prevailing medical treatments can do a lot but they can't give that love, or explain things completely in a mechanistic way. |
