I didn't know the relationship between the two but I knew they were both critically important.
People take way too much calcium and then they don't take any high quality magnesium and that makes an already magnesium deficient situation worse.
I read a lot about magnesium at George Eby's site, someone posted that here a long time ago and I've tried to return the favor and share it where I can:

Bookmark that and revisit it from time to time to read there, it is a lot to take in, but seems like very important information which I have made an effort to follow.
I learned a lot from people posting on health topics here over the years. I was already really interested but there have been a lot of good posters here putting up good articles on the new studies with Vitamin D, etc.
In the summer I take about 5,000 IU of Vitamin D, in the winter about 10,000 IU. I have not had a cold since I started taking this a year and a half or two years ago.
Other things I take: Vit. C, B-complex, Vit. E, trace minerals, zinc, MSM, etc, it gets to be a lot sometimes but I don't take everything every day.
