Kinda makes it wish you had one of those polluting, dirty wood stoves now doesn't it?
If it came down to polluting and keeping my family warm i would chose a wood stove over death in a heart beat.
So take that and chew on it for awhile all you bleeding heart environmentalists, if the power is out for a long time you can explain to your freezing family how you just couldn't go out and buy a wood stove to keep them warm because you might get some ashes on the ground or someone might breath in the wood smoke.

You are not contributing to overpopulation, merely keeping it at the status quo(ie making your replacements) BTW my vermont castings defiant is cranking and keeping the house at 70, gotta love them woodstoves.
