For a significant contrast in areas:

Wichita is roughly 150 miles north Of Oklahoma City. A poster from that area says there was/is some very nasty weather overhead.

Here in Wichita, there is a light dusting of frozen drizzle on the ground, bitterly cold airtemps and some gusty winds... but NO snow/ice.

It was forecasted much earlier that Wichita would be on the very edge of this storm; I'd say those forecasts of this morning were accurate. The morning could still bring the expected 6-7" of snow suggested.... but, I doubt it.

Tomorrow IS another day, of course. But for now, all is pretty quiet on this section of the geat American prairie.

i got about two inches of snow and its still snowing and dont look like it plans on letting up anytime soon been snowing since about 630 i live 30 miles north of Clovis NM which is in the eastern part of new mexico

I'm waiting for some friends to show up.

Don't have any of them snowball fights...it could be a relative.

Here in the Poconos it was light snow all night until about 3:45am.
I was driving home on I-80, the snow got very heavy and within 15 minutes the entire highway was covered to the point where you couldn't see the lanes at all and barely see where you were going. Fun stuff.
By the time I got home at 4:30 there was 3 inches on the road.
This stuff came down real fast.

central PA here. We dont have shit yet...a little sleet about 6am was over by 7 am. roads are fine.

I realize you cannot put Micro forecasts on your map but I believe South Western Shore of Lake Huron will get 20" PLUS

Kevin while it's true that Chicago's forecast has changed, the local weather people are predicting not 2 feet of snow but instead up to 38 inches ( 3 ft, 2 inches).

My husband predicts a dusting and nothing more.. let's see who is right!

Jesus 3 feet? If you get Thundersnow I can see that but are they counting snow drift?

I think the city will see way less than predicted.

Kev we got nailed like you said we would. Local news acted surprised about the thundersnow.12" on the ground in Tulsa and still falling

Luckily no one got hurt.

They are predicting thundersnow, two of them have. Most are reporting about 2 feet. 500 National Guard called up, with 800 snowplows and city garbage trucks equipped with a shovel on the ready. My husband thinks we are all nuts and said he will have the last laugh tommorow am lol

Kevin.. whoops forgot, they are predicting more snow in city than in 'burbs ( the lake ) ya know

Make sure you take note on what Central MO is getting. Chicago will not see as much as NE OK and Central MO so use that as a reference point to what you get downrange -

MO does not have thundersnow right now either.
