U.S. Blizzard 2011 - Firsthand reports here!
If you are in the path of this huge storm, post your firsthand accounts here. I'm located in KCK and our freezing rain changed over to snow around 9:00 tonight. So far no snow accumulation, however roads are iced over.

From FEMA website: "Tuesday will be the major storm day with a foot or two of snow forecast from Kansas to the Great Lakes. FEMA Logistics pre-positioned water, generators, meals, cots, and blankets in Kansas City, Mo., and in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and McAlester, Ok."

Central Missouri here...we are to get 18-22" maybe more...this area is where the worst of it is to hit...we have been having sleet since this afternoon...trees iced up now....now snow yet, but is to start in middle of the night and be full blown blizzard by 9am .
The national guard had sent 600 troops around to various places.Ameren UE has called in 100's of extra workers expecting outages. This is going to be a mess and a half.

Its been snowing here for about 13 hours, we have about 2 inches of snow so fall.

Main highways are skating rinks & traveling in town is difficult at best.

Wednesday is supposed to be our worst day with 40 mph winds mixed with the snow.

No sign of snow or a storm yet. IT is pretty cold here. I have the heat on and have to wear a coat when I go outside. But so far it's not as bad as people are saying. I live in Las Vegas and so I wonder what the big deal is about the coming winter storm. If I can take it you all can. Toughen up Americans. IT ain't that bad. I have been in worse situations.

Philadelphia & Delaware here. XD

Tomorrow our area is to expect:

Snow, early a.m

Freezing rain after,

Then sleet,
then back to snow.

Then I here we're getting more by the end of this week.
I call it the East-Coast IceAge :P

I keep thinking this year there is going to be a storm that no one will expect.

Here in St Louis we have alot of rain so far. The worst of storm is coming between 6 am this morning and how long after I don't know. We are supposed to get 1/8 to 1 inch of ice and 7 to 10 inches of snow, with 40 mile winds and power outages. They have from what I heard, 500 national guards here ready to do what they do. People are behaving like animals buying up all kinds of food and supplies. I heard this is supposed to be like 1982 snow storm and 2006 ice storm put together. I think the news might be right for a change. Either way I am prepared because I don't want help from the national guards or fema or any gov. related service people. I think this is not a natural thing, I think they have caused this to sell things and other things that I don't care to write...

I'm in Southwestern lower Michigan, light snow so far..supposed to get 2-4 inches but it's decent right now. Weather channel said 10-15 inches Tuesday night so we'll see how it goes.
And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

it's a white nightmare in cleveburg. looks like 2 inches an hour right now. bitter cold. back to normal. 2000-2009 was abnormally warm in my opinion compared to the '70 and '80's. i'm getting too old for this shit.
