Why do people hate Jesus so much?

It is not Jesus (we know next to nothing about him - if he ever existed at all) it is the people using his name and man-made "image" trying to shove their dogmas and other BS down our throat.

I don't hate him at all. He makes great enchiladas and margaritas.

jesus would probably have a problem with the way his agents have portrayed him and the teaching of the way.

that's why some go as far to say that if he did show up he would be labeled anti-christ by the church.

I love me some Jesus. Think about it, if the guy lived today, he would be a rare one wouldn't he? You just don't see a lot of ethics, compassion, unconditional love in one human being walking around on this planet on a daily basis anymore do you? I say bring that back, make it "cool" to be a good person-- loving, caring, sharing. We need some Jesus', some Ghandis, some Mother Teresas. Right now. x10,000. With the amount of plain ol' hate that is alive in the world we'd need that to even begin to eradicate hate and wars and evil.

Perhaps because he`s now visible as a fraud ; there is often considerable bitterness when what you love turns out to be inchoherent , self contradictory and pointless

I don't think anyone hates Jesus. What people hate is the personally adulterated version of Jesus being shoved down their throats by people who think they are the voice of God. These 'voice of God' people suffer from low self-esteem and are desperate to convince themselves they have made the right decision by getting others to validate their belief. The image, story, existence/non-existence of Jesus is in the world, everyone knows this, if they want to research it further, no one is every more than a few miles away from a Bible and they can come to their own conclusions without having to accept someone else's conclusions. Live your Christianity any way you see fit, but leave everyone else alone to make their own discoveries.

Everyone gains experience from being here. It's up to the individual to decide if its the kind of experience which will enhance their existance or not. It may take many lifetimes to decide. No one can judge (which I'm sure is mentioned in the thousands of religious books) who is "good" or "evil".
