(this meeting was 25/01/11 but important) The call was initiated by Greenpeace, europarlementaires and trade organization for clean energy. The European Commission is currently working on developing its 'Vision 2050': a vision of European energy which appears in June 2011. A good time is to advocate a green vision. More green jobs Who switch to clean energy not only benefits the environment but also for securing Europe's energy supply. We are indeed less dependent on imported fossil fuels and the corresponding price whims and there is room for hundreds of thousands of green jobs. Courage and leadership A complete clean and smart energy in Europe is technically and economically feasible, even with existing technologies. Hans Altevogt, climate and energy campaign manager at Greenpeace: "What we need is political courage and leadership at all levels, from municipalities and provincial governments and to European level." Action in the Netherlands Greenpeace calls for Dutch companies and politicians to be explicit and to contribute to a 100 percent green energy by 2050. How possible is described in the Energy r/evolution scenario. source [link to www.greenpeace.nl] :Fabnn: There are those among us who are blessed with the power to save what is loved by another, But powerless to use this blessing for love themselves.. |
