Man, when I was a kid, there'd be thousands of dead man-o-war on the beach. Not that unusual. It happens from time to time. When you run over them they pop really loud. hehehehehe

Good post OP, Im very familiar with man o wars, being a surfer for many years. This is a highly unusual event! Jelly fish of all kinds wash up every year,but i can assure you never in this capacity, it is completely unheard of and unpresidented.

Wasn't there a die (kill) off of jellyfish last year somewhere?. I could be very wrong , its getting hard to keep up with all the different die (kill) offs.

WHATEVER, dude. I've lived on the coast for about 40 years. It's not unprecedented. It happens periodically and it's not that huge of a deal.

In fact, in the square footage that those guys are standing, I've seen the beach littered with more than 5 man-o-war, not the one beauty that's shown.

Ummmm....no it's not a lie. It doesn't happen every day, every week, every month or every year, but it does happen from time to time. Actually looking at that picture again, I've seen that size area covered with 10 or more.

Me too but only the ones near the Gulf.

LOL - Hell, I just listened to the audio. Even the expert they're talking to says that kills happen every winter, and this is an unusually heavy winter. She also says she hasn't seen a kill like this in years....meaning that she's seen it before, and she looks to be 30 something.....so.....
