There has been a lot of praise from great musicians towards slash even Eric Clapton has praised him pretty well and Eric is no guitar slouch. Id like to ass Stevie Ray Vaughn to that list.. just sayin.. LOL Slash is good. He's technically a good player. His best solo was from welcome to the jungle. What separates the great players from the ok players is not technical ability, but musical ideas. For example, SRV live at Austin City limits...that dude was channeling from somewhere...he wasn't just playing. All the greats...page, hendrix, srv...clapton, were all more like conduits channeling from somewhere else. Everyone can play the notes.
